According to local media, the Go Outdoors Express store in Warrington, located in the Golden Square Shopping Centre, is to close permanently Warrington Guardian.

The retail chain sells everything from camping gear to fishing and ski equipment, and has 93 locations across the UK.

Signage on the front of the Warrington store – which once claimed to offer 'unbeatable deals' on outdoor clothing, footwear and camping gear – indicates it will not be in business for much longer.

But until the store closes, customers can take advantage of some special offers.

According to local reports, the store is now offering 30 percent off “absolutely everything.”

One shopper wrote on social media: “To be honest the sale was great. We reduced the number of hiking boots from 60 to 12. The staff is like this Nice and were so helpful.”

Another said it was sad that another store had become a “victim” of the cost of living.

Someone else wrote: “too many businesses closing.”

And another said: “Internet shopping has killed the radio star, I mean shopping.”

The Sun could not independently confirm that the store is closing permanently.

It comes after Go Outdoors in Old Abingdon Road, Oxford, closed for the last time in December.

A notice about the closure of the Oxford store was posted on the company's website.

Local news channel The Oxford Post reported that the store was closing because the building was in a “state of disrepair.”

As a result, the company reportedly failed to obtain insurance to “operate safely.”

A spokesperson for Go Outdoors said the company “plans to invest in a new and improved store.”

In 2020, The Sun reported that Go Outdoors was on the verge of collapsing into administration.

JD Sports, owner of Go Outdoors, filed a notice of its intention to appoint administrators and later put it into administration.

But it immediately bought the company back for £56.5 million.

Go Outdoors was forced to close all its stores in March of that year due to the effects of Covid-19.

The outdoor retailer was struggling long before the pandemic, losing £54.9m in the six months to August 3, 2019.

JD Sports said its decision to buy back Go Outdoors would “preserve as many jobs as possible”, and vowed to move forward with a major restructuring of the company.
