UPSC IFS Indian Forest Service Exam: Minimum educational qualification required

• A candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology, or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or Engineering from one of the universities offering established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act or declared to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or having an equivalent possess qualification.

UPSC IFS Indian Forest Service Exam: Age Limit

“A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years by 1 August 2023, i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2 August 1991 and not later than 1 August 2002.” reads the detailed notification of the previous year. UPSC IFS Indian Forest Service Survey Pattern

Talking about the exam pattern, the competitive exam consists of two consecutive phases:

• (i) (Preliminary) Civil Service Examination (Objective Type) for the screening and selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; And
• (ii) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates from the vacancies identified and reported for the Indian Forest Service Examination.
