UPSC IFS Prelims Registration Last Date 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) closes the registration process for the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Exam-2024 tomorrow, March 5, 2024. Candidates can enter the UPSC IFS Prelims Application Form on or upsc.gov.in. The Union Public Service Commission will hold a screening test for selection for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2024 through the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024, to be held on May 26, 2024, in accordance with the rules published by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change in the Gazette of India dated February 14, 2024.

The Indian Forest Service exam will consist of two consecutive stages:-

  • Civil Service Examination (Provisional) (Objective Type) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; And
  • Indian Forest Service (Main) examination (written and interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.

Candidates must register online through the link www.upsconline.nic.in for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, which will act as a screening mechanism for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination. Candidates who also wish to apply for the Civil Services Examination, [subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions] must apply once by appropriately indicating in the online application form that they intend to appear for both the Indian Forest Service Examination and the Civil Services Examination.

Candidates who qualify for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination will then have to fill a detailed application form as per further instructions to be provided to the candidates through the Commission’s website (www.upsconline.nic.in).

  • Visit the official website at or upsc.gov.in.
  • On the homepage, look for the link that says ‘One Time Registration (OTR) for UPSC Exams and Online Application.’
  • Register yourself on the portal. Complete the application form.
  • Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.
  • Save and submit the online application form.
  • Download a copy of it for future reference.

Candidates applying for the examination must ensure that they meet all eligibility requirements for admission to the examination. The eligible candidates will receive an e-Admit Card on the last working day of the preceding week of the exam date.
