The Spanish magazine that published photos of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova together in Madrid has revealed what they say is a timeline of their night out.

While Genoveva, 47, strongly denies ‘malicious’ rumors that she and the heir to the Danish throne, 55, are in a romantic relationship, Lectures claims the royal father-of-four visited the socialite’s apartment on October 25 after attending a Picasso exhibition together.

The magazine claims the Crown Prince, who has been married to Princess Mary of Denmark since 2004, dined with mother-of-one Genoveva at El Corral de la Moreria that evening, with the pair leaving the restaurant at 1am.

The magazine published photos of Crown Prince Frederik in which he said he left Genoveva’s apartment. In the photos he is alone, driving down the street with a suitcase the size of a carry-on.

The timeline comes as Lecturas editor Luis Pliego claimed on the Spanish TV channel Telecincothat Frederick came to Madrid ‘in secret’.

While Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark go about their business at home as usual, Spanish magazine Lecturas has published a timeline of how the prince spent a night out in Madrid with a Mexican socialite.

On Tuesday evening, the Mexican socialite and reality TV star issued a statement condemning “malicious” rumors that she and Crown Prince Frederik were in a romantic relationship, saying they were “categorically” untrue.

A statement from the socialite said: “I categorically deny the statements that indicate a romantic relationship between Prince Frederik and me.”

She added: “Any statement of this type not only completely lacks the truth, but also maliciously misrepresents the facts.

“This is already in the hands of my lawyers, who will take care of the relevant steps to protect my rights to honor, truth and privacy.”

Now Lecturas has reported more details about Crown Prince Frederik and Genoveva’s night out in Madrid.

The magazine claims that after visiting a Pablo Picasso exhibition at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, the couple strolled through El Retiro Park in central Madrid on the afternoon of October 25.

After the walk, around 7 p.m., Lecturas claims that both Frederik and Genoveva went separately to her apartment building, and both emerged around 9 p.m., two hours later, both having changed their clothes to evening wear.

In photos obtained by the publication, Genoveva has ditched her chic camel coat with a tie belt in favor of a white shirt, black wide-leg pants and a black jacket worn on her shoulders.

Meanwhile, Frederik seems to have changed from a navy blue jacket and brown trousers to a white shirt and dark trousers with a neat dark jacket. Again, they are said to have come out of the building separately, but got into the same white car.

The magazine claims the pair saw a flamenco performance at a Spanish restaurant, El Corral de la Moreria, which ended at midnight.

It is also claimed that they remained seated at their table, which was flanked by two of the Danish prince’s bodyguards, while other customers left, waiters finished their shifts and the lights were switched off.

Lecturas claims the pair didn’t leave the restaurant until 1 a.m., when they walked out onto the street and got into a car. As a ‘courtesy gesture’, Lecturas reports that Crown Prince Frederik opened the car door for his dinner companion.

The magazine claims that the next day the heir to the Danish throne was taken by car to the airport, where he flew to Denmark.

She has appeared on several reality TV shows in Spain, including the national version of the Masked Singer, the most recent series of Spanish Celebrity Masterchef and an all-star version of The Chase.

Between 2005 and 2007, she was married to Spanish author Cayetano Martínez de Irujo, and the couple have two children.

He is one of five sons of the late Duchess of Alba, who was worth an estimated £2.2 billion, and was one of Europe’s wealthiest aristocrats and a direct royal descendant of King James II of England.

They divorced in 2008 but have maintained a friendly relationship and she says they still speak every day.

After her divorce, Genoveva was linked to Mexican singer Luis Miguel, although the pair never confirmed whether they were in a relationship.

She subsequently dated Gonzalo Vargas Llosa, a senior policy advisor at the UNHCR, before coming into contact with Spain’s former justice minister, José María Michavila, after his wife’s death.

Her most recent romance was in 2022 with José Manuel Gayán Pacheco, an agricultural businessman.

While Genoveva, who celebrated her 47th birthday yesterday, delivered a scathing attack on the Spanish magazine and put an end to all speculation that she and Frederik are in a romantic relationship, it was business as usual for the Danish royal family as they hosted the state visit of Queen Letizia and King Felipe of Spain travel to Copenhagen on Wednesday.

Crown Princess Mary, Frederik’s wife of 19 years and mother of his four children, kept a poker face as she made appointments with the Spanish royal family and held interviews with the press.

The Australian-born future queen, 51, maintained a passive expression during a visit to the Center for Danish Architecture in Copenhagen as she hosted the Spanish royals on the third day of their state visit.
