Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024: Addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 on Thursday, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that Gujarat will set up a 30,000 MW green energy hub and the green energy cluster will be the largest in the world. He added that it is a great opportunity to manufacture products that have green energy.

“How to preserve our planet is at the top of policy making… Everyone in the world is demanding green power in the production process… Gujarat will set up a 30,000 MW green energy hub… The largest green power cluster in the world is 5000 -7000 MW… Globally it will green energy cluster to become the largest in the world… This is a great opportunity to manufacture products that will have green energy,” said Ashwini Vaishnaw.

During the ongoing summit, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel participated in a seminar on semiconductors and electronics in Gandhinagar.

Speaking at the summit, Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “The semiconductor industry will need another million strong talents in the next decade. This will come from India… We have collaborated with 104 universities to develop courses and training regimes… When you make the next investment decision, your logical choice should be Bharat and Gujarat.”

He said Prime Minister Modi signed the MoU on Micron in the US in June and construction of the plant started in September – within 90 days. “This is a great contribution from you in the field of semiconductors. The contribution is invaluable…We can proudly say that we have governments, we have organizations that can implement the vision of our Prime Minister,” he added.
