Woman, 25, arrested for 'helping fugitive Daniel Khalife' after he 'escaped prison by hiding under a truck'

A WOMAN has been arrested for allegedly helping prisoner Daniel Khalife out of Wandsworth prison.

The 25-year-old was detained after police raided a house in east London.

She was questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender but has since been released on bail until the end of April.

Her arrest is the second after Khalife's alleged escape after a 24-year-old man was arrested last month.

Police confirmed that neither he nor the female suspect are members of staff at HMP Wandsworth.

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Rees, head of operations at the Met's Counter Terrorism Command, which is leading the investigation, said: “We continue to conduct a thorough investigation into the full circumstances of Khalife's alleged escape and have now arrested two detainees. other people as part of this.”
