A shocked Woolworths worker claims no one said goodbye to her on her last day at work, despite spending her entire ‘teenage years’ at the supermarket.

Keeley Pejovic worked for a Woolworths supermarket in Queensland for six years before handing in her notice.

Ms Pejovic uploaded a video to TikTok on Monday in which she recounts the thankless moment when her services went unnoticed.

She claimed that none of her colleagues or senior staff said goodbye when she left.

‘I was there for six years… that’s a really long time. That is literally my entire teenage years,” Ms. Pejovic said.

‘I didn’t get a single thank you or goodbye. Nobody cared.’

Ms Pejovic appeared stunned as she relived the brutal experience before admitting she was not surprised by the move.

“That’s one of the reasons I quit,” she said.

“No one cared…no one gave a damn about me. I literally only existed at work.”

Ms Pejovic further lamented that after six years the staff ‘didn’t care’.

“The managers didn’t say anything… no thank you, no goodbye… nothing,” she said.

She wrote in the video’s caption that she was “literally just a number to them (Woolworths).”

Sources claim that Ms Pejovic suddenly resigned and submitted her resignation in the form of a note to the service desk on Friday afternoon.

However, Ms Pejovic denied this, telling Daily Mail Australia she had handed in her resignation letter on October 29 and informed her manager of her intentions a week earlier.

A Woolworths spokesperson said Ms Pejovic resigned 'via a note to the service desk' last Friday afternoon and that her resignation was 'quite sudden'.

Ms Pejovic’s video was flooded with thousands of comments from users who said they had experienced similar experiences.

“Me, the person who arranged all the going away gifts… just quietly walked away during my last shift,” one person wrote.

‘Just quit Coles after 28 years!!! I just walked outside. They act like they care. They do not. Best move I ever made,” said another.

‘I left my job at Coles after two years, (I) was the only person (as of when [I] started) who did not receive a farewell from anyone…’

One social media user said Ms Pejovic’s experience was “sad”.

However, others said they managed to get a good send-off from their employers.

‘When I left Coles after four o’clock [sic] For years I got chocolates and flowers and a card…,” said one user.

An Indeed/YouGov 2022 Workplace Happiness Survey found that 72 percent of Aussies felt unhappy at work between 2021 and 2022.

The survey shows that one in four employees was looking for a new job as a result.

A demanding workload, poor communication and poor relationships with colleagues and/or managers were found to be the top three reasons contributing to workplace dissatisfaction.
