Zoë Foster Blake Shares Skincare Regime for 10 Year Olds as Teens Start Using Retinol Products and Buying a $100 Moisturizer at Mecca

Beauty guru Zoë Foster Blake has unveiled a simple skincare regime for 10-year-olds, as more children turn to anti-aging creams and serums thanks to social media pressure.

Comedian Hamish Blake's wife shared a video on Instagram explaining that the only products tweens should use are a cleanser, hydrating serum and sunscreen.

She added that she is not surprised that children are buying expensive products at stores like Sephora or Mecca, but warned against anything containing retinol and peptides.

'[Young children] buy really expensive products. And if I was 10 years old and had access to social media, I would do the same thing: I would do anything an influencer would tell me to do,” she said.

“I don't think anyone is [under 14] should use retinol or very expensive peptides.

'You can save those products for later, because you don't suffer from pigment spots, fine lines or aging. You have beautiful skin, so all you have to do is keep it hydrated and protected from the sun.'

She then recommended products from her skincare range, including the Juicy Gel Gentle Gel Cleanser, Face Hero Face Oil and an SPF.

Zoë captioned the video: 'This is my skincare founder's take on 10 year olds buying serums, including the exact routine and products I think tweens and teens really need. (With specific references.) In short: very little.'

'Do tweens need skin care? Mostly not! Will they use it anyway? Almost certainly!'

“So let's make sure they're using the right things and teach them self-care habits that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.”

Zoë started her Go-To skincare brand in 2014 and sold her 51.5% stake in the company to BWX for $89 million in 2021.

After the sale, she continued as Chief Creative Officer and director of Go To Skincare.

Unfortunately, BWX suffered a $335 million loss in the 2021-2022 financial year, with mining magnate Andrew Forrest stepping in to save the company.

In December, Zoë bought back her stake in Go-To Skincare for a fraction of the price she sold it for two years ago.

According to documents lodged with ASIC, Foster Blake and Go-To co-founder Paul Bates have bought back their controlling stake in the company for just $21.8 million.
