Donald Trump says that a million people are at stake with their work after they refused to respond to the e -mail from his Buddy Elon Musk who demands what they have 'achieved at work'.
The president said his team works to detect those who have not sent an answer by the deadline.
Speaking with reporters collected for Trump's first cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Trump said that the Musk's Department of Government is trying to find out why these federal employees have not answered his e -mail.
“Maybe they will be gone, maybe they are not there, maybe they have other jobs, maybe they have moved and they are not where they should be,” Trump speculated. “Many things could have happened.”
“At the moment we are trying to find out who those people are who did not respond.”
But in general, Trump has noticed those 1 million employees that they are 'on the bubble' – a sports sentence that the president uses as a euphemism for their job at stake.

The e -mail ended up in the inbox of 2.3 million federal employees on Saturday evening and gave a deadline of 11:59 pm on Monday to send five bullet points of what they did the week before at work.
Musk posted a message to X on Saturday and noted that it would be taken as a resignation if someone did not answer.
The directive led to a lot of confusion among the government's workforce, especially after some departmental bosses had issued their employees guidance in order not to respond to Musk's e -mail from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) HR -Mail account.
Trump stated on Wednesday that Doge is more 'surgical' when he looks at the number of government employees to shoot and which jobs should ultimately be cut.
Moreover, he wants different agencies and department heads to start taking over Doge and making these murderous decisions themselves.
He said that manager Lee Zeldin, manager of the environmental and security agency, has already said that he could probably reduce 65 percent of the workforce in his department.

“Now there will be a few agencies – like Marco has people in the state who is now very classified, do very confidential work,” Trump admitted. “And we understand that we have spoken and, you know, we are a bit more surgical.”

Musk, who attended the cabinet meeting with Trump, said reporters that there is no specific number of jobs that he wants to cut.
“We want everyone who does a work that is essential and who does work well,” said the Tesla and SpaceX boss. “But if the job is not essential or not doing well, they should of course not be on the public payroll.”
