NBA fans were forced to leave Chase Center in San Francisco on Saturday evening after a fire alarm was drawn in the middle of the Warriors-Pistons NBA competition.
The worrying scenes unfolded at the end of the first quarter when a scary message appeared on the huge screen above the court and urged fans to go to the outputs.
The message was: 'Attention: there is a fire alarm in the building. Go to the nearest exit and leave the building. Do not use lifts. '
Reporters who cover the game claimed that some fans immediately followed the instructions and rushed to the exit, while others stayed on their seats.
It is still unclear whether the alarm was a test or a real incident, but the game continued shortly thereafter, despite the fact that some fans left their seats.
Bay Area Sports reporter Cam Inman wrote X shortly after the alarm ended that '20 percent of the fans had left their seats for the outputs' before they were told that they could return.

Multiple users on X posted images of the scary warning that was projected in Chase Center

The incident delayed the second quarter of the match, with Steph Curry and Co in action
A PA message to fans said: 'Attention fans, we have just received the all-clear signal. You can return to your seats. '
Shortly after the incident it was also reported that all music and arena sounds had stopped at Chase Center after the alarm.
One fan present wrote on X: 'First a fire alarm then no PA system at the @warriors game. Hey @chaseecenter what's going on?! We want our music back. '
