Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has confirmed that disaster relief payments for those affected by ex-Cyclone Alfred will be available from Tuesday.
There are two payments that can be claimed, the disaster payment payment and the disaster repair allowance.
The exemption payment is a one -off amount of $ 1,000 for adults and $ 400 for children who are adversely affected, while the reimbursement is available for employees who lose income, such as those who cannot work.

'What that does is for 13 weeks or up to 13 weeks, pay or full wage for those who have lost income in the affected local government areas (LGAs).
'There are 31 (LGAs) in NSW and Queensland who are unable to get to work because their companies are closed, or because of some closures, some people simply cannot go to work.
“To do those applications, people can register with the MyGOV website to check their suitability for it.”
The regulation is jointly financed by the federal and national governments.
