American Airlines passengers were forced to evacuate after their plane was on fire on Thursday at Denver airport.
Horrible images that were shared on social media showed terrified passengers who fled to the asphalt while smoke was out of the plane.
Denver International Airport told KDVR that there was a plane fire 'to an American Airlines plane' that was in Gate C38 on Thursday evening and produced 'visible smoke'.
Images from the asphalt showed that the fire caused considerable damage to the aircraft, with one area on the right -hand side of the wing -loaded black.
Emergency glasses were activated and people were seen around the asphalt near the plane that was ushered in to safety.
“Passengers were evacuated and the slides were used,” said the airport.
A video that was looked out at the plane from the airport showed Ladders who were assembled by ground team under the wing to guide people down.
