A SpaceX rocket sent to pick up two astronauts that have been stranded in space for nine months is finally moored at the international space station.
The SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket successfully left NASA's Kennedy Space Center on Friday evening, on a mission to deliver four new astronauts to the satellite.
The arrival of the new crew means that Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore will finally be able to return to Earth in Limbo in the coming months.
The couple has been stranded in a job since 5 June, where SpaceX owner Elon Musk and others claimed that Williams and Wilmore were left at the ISS for political reasons, although this has been refuted by the astronauts.
The arrival of crew-10, including NASA astronauts Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, the Japanese Takuya Onishi and the Russian Kirill Pesko, means that they can return home.
The new crew that moored at the ISS just after 12:04 pm on Sunday after a trip of more than 28 hours.
Wilmore was planned to open the hatch after performing 'extensive' under pressure and leak control procedures.
It is hoped that Williams and Wilmore can start their return to the earth on board the SpaceX Dragon Capsule in Wednesday to the earth. The duo was initially planned for an eight -day shipment.

NASA's besieged mission to save two stranded astronauts was finally successfully launched on Friday

Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams were originally planned for an eight -day mission, but were forced to remain after technical problems the Boeing's Starliner who brought them to the ISS
They will be accompanied during their return flight by NASA's Nick Hague and the Russian Aleksandr Gorbunov.
The four newcomers will spend in the coming days learning the ins and outs of the station
The new crew will spend the next six months at the space station considered the normal Stint.
Their arrival comes after several setbacks for the auxiliary mission, the most recent of which was canceled on Wednesday at the eleventh hour due to a problem with the Hydraulic System with the Falcon 9 Rocket.
NASA was raised the return mission two weeks later after President Trump had told Musk to 'go' Williams and Wilmore '.
Before the president's request, the astronauts did not return until March 26.
“It has been a roller coaster for them, probably a bit more than for us,” said Williams about her family.
The mission became a flash point during the elections after Trump and Musk claimed that the astronauts got away in space for political reasons.
Musk said he offered to take the astronauts home eight months ago, but the Biden administration shot it down because the Trump would have “goodly” put it out in the presidential race against former vice -president Kamala Harris.

During a recent press conference, Ken Bowersox, associated manager of the NASA's Space Operations Mission directorate, admitted that there had been conversations in the White House in Biden about postponing the return for political optics to have the day the most famous Donor of Trump, but he was not part of the discussions.
The launch of the crew-10 took place when Wilmore and Williams slept in their daily schedule at the station, Dina Contellam told Deputy Manager of the ISS program of NASA after the launch to reporters.
After they have seen their mission a normal NASA rotation for the ISS change, Wilmore and William's scientific research have done and conducted routine maintenance with the other five astronauts.
Williams told reporters earlier this month that she looked forward to returning home to see her two dogs and family, including her husband Michael and mother Bonnie.
Wilmore has two teenage daughters he shares with wife Deanna.
“We have had so many changes and it is a bit mentally tiring,” his daughter Daryn told E! News about the current Saga.
