Terrange residents have described that they flee for their lives after an explosion 'like Thunder' while a roof collapsed in the middle of the night.
The local population in the prosperous West -London district of Notting Hill today talked about their shock and fears for their rented houses after the incident in the early hours.
Firefighters evacuated 11 people from their qualities after what was described as a 'catastrophic structural collapse', with reports A front façade end in a row of houses took place – with three properties that are affected by the collapse.

He told MailOnline: 'It was a huge sound – I thought we were in the middle of a thunderstorm. The entire wall just came down.
“My mother was in the front room and we just heard this big tree. Literally it had the net – the whole room. It is not easy for my mother to be out of her little flat.
'It was really loud and I waited for the rain to arrive – and then I walked into the front room and saw it all.
“I was an hour or so before it happened. If that had landed on you, you would be dead. '
A man who was saved from his basement this morning, said he was awakened by a loud explosion with rubble around his house and blocked his escape route.
Philip, who did not want to give his last name, lived on the street for 16 years and told the metro: “I don't know how I wasn't killed.”
He was only found this morning when a shocked counselor heard his screams.
“The surveyor said,” The whole place is meant to be evacuated, what are you doing there? “He said.
“You have to laugh.”

Posh cars, including a Mercedes-Cabriolet, were still dressed in fabric among the development of homes affected by the collapse of the early morning.
A housekeeper named Linda, who works on one of the buildings next to the damaged houses, said she could not work and was now worried about her own house.
She said to MailOnline: 'They say the roofs have just collapsed. It's frightening. I work here every day. I am worried about the house and I am not sure if I can enter now.
'When I got on the road, I knew something bad had happened – the roofs just collapsed. It's so weird. '
An employee for the non-profit Notting Hill Genesis Housing Association said that all people in the house had been placed in temporary accommodation.
When asked what had happened, they still tried to work it out.
A resident said: 'It was suddenly – I just had the feeling that there was an explosion.
“I came out and there was dust everywhere and realized that it was the roofs. It was really scary because I thought it was a real explosion and car alarms went off.
“It was really scary and the woman there had been shouted. Fortunately it was not in the morning when people walked up and down. '
Another added that everyone on the street was awakened by a 'big bang' and car alarms, say: 'There was a big bang and then it was – it was terrible.

Fire personnel were first informed of the incident at 1.10 am and sent two fire engines from the station of North Kensington Plus a fire walk from Chelsea.

'The majority of the residents who were still inside were brought to safety through an internal staircase by crews.
'One person, whose house was on the lower ground floor, saw his exit blocked by rubble so that firefighters used a ladder to take them to street level.
'Residents were also provided with helmets from the fire brigade and precaution, because they left the building to protect them in the event of further debris.
“Crews carried out a systematic search for the building to check that no one else was inside and after having contact with partners on the spot, the incident left in the care of emergency services and the local authority.”
A spokesperson for the Council Kensington and Chelsea said: 'We were informed of a possible collapse of the roof in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
'Officers immediately hurried to the scene to assess the incident and to determine whether residents needed support from the council.

A spokesperson for a Notting Hill Genesis Housing Association said: 'First, we would like to thank the emergency services who helped our residents to leave the building safely and made sure that no one was injured.
'We arrange temporary alternative accommodation for the affected households and will continue to do so until their property has been repaired.
“We started an immediate investigation into the causes of this defective roof and what work must be done to ensure that our tenants can return safely.”
