Trump’s efforts to centralize the spending of the US government and save costs, powered by the Ministry of Government Efficiencyth (Doge) of Elon Musk, seems to work because Slack is only the latter in a growing list of companies that want to win government contracts by offering substantial discounts.
Salesforce Confirmed that the Slack Enterprise Grid would offer American federal agencies with a considerable discount of 90%, with Slack AI for Enterprise also on the tickets for government customers with a discount of almost 70%.
The US General Services Administration (GSA) confirmed That the deal would be honored until November 30, 2025.

“Under Onegov, Salesforce is the newest company that offers price improvements and more is expected this year,” the GSA noted.
GSA Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Josh Gruenbaum explained: “The private sector experiences first -hand by the Onegov initiative that President Trump’s GSA is committed to being a good partner while working together to deliver the best tools for the government with the best value for taxpatues.”
The government was previously eligible for considerable discounts at multiple agencies, but by centralizing software acquisition, the US now has even more purchasing power, so that some serious discounts unlock.
“This uniform model reflects the central role of GSA in purchasing, maximizing cost savings, reducing redundancy and streamlining IT acquisition with consistent prices and conditions in the federal government,” the GSA added.
Salesforce-Salesforce-Slack is one of one of a number of software agreements that are presented to the US government. ClimbGoogle and Microsoft have also offered healthy savings to Trump’s government.
Apart from saving costs for the American taxpayer, the broader effort also plays in the technological transformation of the US, in the hope that good and effective tools can greatly improve efficiency, streamlines and remove operational inefficiencies.
“In combination with the robust ecosystem of Salesforce, data processes and AI agents, Slack enables government agencies to improve productivity and deliver civilian results with precision and speed,” added Salesforce Public Sector President Dave Rey.
