While basketball fans are used to see Stephen A. Smith on their television screens, they were treated on Thursday evening to a rare glimpse of another member of De Smith Clan.
The analyst performed his ESPN tasks alongside Elle Duncan on the floor of Gainbridge Fieldhouse when Game 6 of the NBA The final changed to ‘bring your daughter to work’.
Smith’s daughter, Samantha A. Smith, appeared on the broadcast when Duncan called her from the sidelines.
But Smith did not seem to be a fan of the idea, because he remained tense over his daughter’s stint in front of the camera.
“Say hello,” he told Samantha, who liked to accept the invitation and ran with it while she greeted viewers and something.
“Hello guys, I’m Samantha,” said the 17-year-old. When her father briefly removed the microphone, Samantha said, “I have it here.”

“You just came here five minutes ago,” her father intervened. But Samantha, not deterred, plowed and added: ‘This is really a great experience. This is really a great experience and I am really grateful to be here, you. ‘
Samantha seems to have inherited her father’s fearlessness in front of the camera while she refused to hold her tongue when she was asked for her opinions.
She was invited back to the ESPN broadcast when NBA Countdown -Gastheer Malika Andrews welcomed her in the panel to give her choice between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers.
“I’m going okc,” Samantha revealed and went to her father and his choice from the Indiana Pacers.
“I think they’ll just end it tonight,” she continued, while Smith seemed to be annoyed next to her. ‘I think Shai (Gilgous-Alexander) killed it all season and he won MVP. So I think we just finish it now. ‘
His NBA Countdown colleagues ribbed Smith and claimed that they ‘preferred her pick over her father’ and that she made it a much better show.
“Are you going to your father on live television?” A dissatisfied Smith wondered, which Samantha only took and added: “I think he knows I am right.”
