Foundation Season 3 Will introduce the most frightening villain of the show in the Mulezel-and Pilou Asbaek what viewers can expect from his view of the fan favorite Antagonist.
Speak with tech radar FoundationThe return on July 11, Asbaek revealed that his version of the character will be something of a deviation from how he is depicted in the namesake of Isaac Asimov’s book series.
In the best-selling novels of Asimov, the mule is a Weedy person who proves that appearance can be deceptive. The mule is indeed one of the most powerful mentities – people who possess incredibly powerful psychological skills – to ever live in the fictional universe of Asimov. Because of his weak appearance, he is constantly underestimated by his enemies, allowing him to conquer huge parts of the Milky Way before the empire or foundation can collect a reaction to the growing threat he forms.
The mule has its telepathic super powers Apple‘s Live-Action adjustment. But if Foundation The official trailer of season 3 Unveiled, he is a much physically impressive character than he is presented in the books.
“He must be a large, immediate threat to empire and the foundation,” Asbaek told me about the decision to make the mule bigger and muscular in the Apple TV+ Space Opera. “So he is physically different. He is a pretty big, broad guy who is also more villains, brutal and rude than he has described in the brilliant books of Asimov.”
The changed build of the Mulezel is less a surprise if you think back to last season. Like I cover with my Foundation Season 2 ended Piece, the mule makes a short cameo before the series of rolls of the final credits. The loose villain, which was played in that scene by Mikael Persbrandt Before he was replaced by Asbaek as part of a season 3-cast shake-upWas just as long in shape. So there is a continuity between Persbrandt and Asbaek’s iterations of the character from a physical perspective.
Nevertheless, ASBAEK is well aware that some old fans of Asimov’s literary works can be an exception to how the mule is depicted in one of the Best Apple TV+ Shows. Perhaps not surprising, he has already prepared himself for a possible return.
“I made a few adjustments – Spirit And Game of Thrones ((Received) For example – so I have been on that path, “he mused.” I know some people will like it [my take on The Mule] And some will not do that, but it is my job to make the best possible version in collaboration with the creative team.
“I didn’t know Mikael had done it, but I knew about the show and what I wanted to bring the character,” he added. “It’s the same as someone who does an adjustment of a Shakespearean game. We’ve seen a million different versions of HamletSo this is just my interpretation of the mule. “

As for how the muzzle differs from Received‘s Euron Grayjoy, the unlikely and power -hungry character that Asbaek played in one of the Best HBO Max -ShowsOr another villain he played, Asbaek said: “He is probably the most human I have ever played. He has the biggest storyline I have had playing a villain, but he is also the most chaotic, tortured soul of all. I am not going to spoil it, but I can say you get a feeling of why [that’s the case].
“At the end of the day he is just a little boy who wants to be loved,” Asbaek continued. “I was very inspired by the French novel ‘The Little Prince’. That is also the reason why he [The Mule] Wears a red jacket, because I wanted to look like the little prince, who comes to our world because he wants to know what it is like to be human and having emotions. That is the only thing the mule does not have. He is unique and this season you will find out what happens if he doesn’t get what he wants. “
