“This controversial action has asked questions about why a CNN journalist would support such a criminal,” said another person.
Wmal-Gastheer Larry O'Connor said Collins, “used her considerable platform to promote a link for the defense fund of a cold-blooded murderer. She has not yet apologized, nor has she posted something else in 24 hours. '
“Promoting the defense fund of an alleged stone cold murderer as a journalist is pretty big,” a third person said.
Collins removed the posted and replied to a New York Post story that denied that she promoted his fundraising.
“This is not true. I posted that his lawyers have made a website that are newsworthy and have also reported other points of sale. I did not in any way shared a fundraising link for him, “she said.
In a statement to Mediaite, a CNN spokesperson said: “This was nothing more than a social post -reporting news about the test.”
Mangione has, even though he is an accused cold -blooded murderer, divided the opinion since his identity was revealed in his arrest.
Many worship him as a hero for standing out Unitedhealthcare, the largest health insurer in the country that denies most claims per percentage, and the American health system in general.
Shell -shells found on the spot were engraved with 'delay', 'deny' and 'depose' in reference to American health insurance tactics.
