Hours after the allegations surfaced for the first time, the American Baker Sally McKenney from Sally’s Baking Addiction Fame On Instagram claimed that Brooke had also copied her vanilla cake recipe.

Two days later, Nagi claimed that Brooke may have copied the recipe for Portuguese cake from Late Bill Granger from 2006 ‘virtually word by word’.

“It is so flagrant to me that the formulation in the method part of the recipe is copied almost precisely,” Nagi told East Coast Media.

“For me it is the largest and strongest example of plagiarism that I have seen by this author.”

Both Penguin and Brooke denied the allegations, where the baker said she had made and sold her recipes before Nagis were published.

“I have no recipes in my book plagiarism that consists of 100 recipes that I have made for many years,” said Bellamy.
