Suhani Bhatnagar, known for her role as the young Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan's Dangal, passed away on Saturday at the age of 19. According to media reports, the actress suffered a broken leg and was taking medication for the same. However, the medications affected her health, causing fluid to build up in her body. Suhani had been receiving medical treatment at the AIIMS hospital in Delhi for a long time. Her funeral arrangements will take place in Faridabad. After her role in the film 'Dangal', Suhani took a temporary break from acting to focus on her studies. Suhani's family is yet to speak on the matter.

Aamir Khan's production has expressed sadness over the sad news. Actor's production house 'Aamir Khan Production' took to Our sincere condolences to her mother Poojaji and the entire family. Suhani won hearts with her performance in Dangal. After her performance in Dangal, Bhatnagar did only a few TV commercials and later concentrated on her studies. She was also not a very frequent social media user. Suhani's last post on her Instagram profile was from November 2021, where she shared a few selfies. She has 20.9k followers on the photo and video sharing platform. Suhani has also shared numerous pictures alongside her 'Dangal' co-stars.

About Dangal

Released in 2016, the film is a biographical sports drama directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Aamir Khan. The film depicts the journey of famous female wrestlers Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra portrayed the older versions of the two Phogat sisters, while Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar portrayed their younger counterparts.
