AFL star Jy Simpkin ‘splits from model girlfriend Demi Brereton after two years’ as they unfollow each other
AFL star Jy Simpkin has reportedly parted ways with his girlfriend Demi Brereton.
The North Melbourne co-captain is said to have split from his model girlfriend, both 26, after two years together.
The couple are believed to have gone their separate ways ‘amicably’ in recent weeks, with their management saying so Herald Sun that they ‘remain good friends’.
The pair have seemingly unfollowed each other on Instagram, which is a telltale sign as neither appears in each other’s follow lists on the social media platform.
Midfielder Jy was last seen on Demi’s Instagram page when she shared a photo of them together at the Australian Open in January.

The couple are said to have gone their separate ways ‘amicably’ in recent weeks, with their management telling the Herald Sun that they ‘remain good friends’.
Demi also made her last appearance on Jy’s Instagram that same month, when he shared a selection of photos from a romantic getaway they took together.
It is understood Demi will be heading abroad this weekend, while Jy is set to return to the field after being sidelined with a quad injury in Perth last week.
“Jy has now fully recovered from that quad strain and has ticked off his return to playing marks over the past week,” North Melbourne Head of Performance Kevin White said. NMFC Media.
‘He is participating in unlimited group training and will be available to play this week.’
Just two months ago, Demi gave an update on Jy’s recovery after taking a nasty blow to the head from St Kilda defender Jimmy Webster during training.

The Kangaroos player suffered a concussion when he was squashed on the pitch by his rival, but Demi said he was doing ‘very well’ just weeks after the injury.
‘He’s doing very well, I’m just nurse Demi. Football is so unpredictable,” she said the Herald Sun at an event in March.
Jy and Demi – a successful model – dated for just over two years.
Demi is a former winner of Fashions on the Field and was also the 2023 Melbourne Cup Carnival Ambassador.
