Pigs in blankets are a festive favorite for many Brits and an essential part of traditional Christmas dinners.

Have you ever wondered how many of these bite-sized pork snacks you can eat in one sitting? Well, now you can put this to the test.

Next week, Aldi UK will open the country’s first Bottomless Pigs in Blankets restaurant in North London – the ultimate experience for pigs in blankets lovers.

Guests can enjoy a bottomless selection of the supermarket’s largest range of pigs in blankets yet, with tickets on sale now for £5 via Eventbrite.

Located in North London’s Camden Passage, the exclusive restaurant offers fans the opportunity to enjoy a six-course meal featuring Aldi’s largest pigs in blankets range to date.

The menu is repeatable, meaning no blanket is left unturned and the experience is complete with a ‘Press for PIBs’ button to unlock unlimited dishes of the festive favourite.

At the simple touch of a button, the range includes the limited-edition specially selected brie and cranberry candy pigs in blankets and specially selected caramelised onion chipolatas, which were recently crowned ‘Best Pig in Blankets’ at this year’s BBC Good Food Christmas Taste year. Test.

Guests can also enjoy a bottomless supply of the supermarket’s popular Butcher’s Select Pigs in Dekens and Specially Selected Pigs in Dekens Handcooked Crisps.

Meat-free restaurant goers can also join in and enjoy endless quantities of the supermarket’s Plant Menu Ultimate Vegan Pigs in Blankets.

Combined with the festive treats, guests can also enjoy their drink of choice, whether that is a glass of Prosecco or a refreshing soft drink.

Proceeds from the tickets will go to Neighbourly, a donation platform that matches corporate funds, excess time and volunteer work with local charities to make a positive impact.

It costs £5 per person and the restaurant will only be there for two days between Friday 24th November and Saturday 25th November, from 1pm to 8.15pm.

Time slots are filling up quickly, so fans must act quickly to secure their seats.

Last year the major supermarket sold 38 million pigs in blankets and expects record sales of up to 43 million this year.

The opening comes as new research from Aldi shows the mighty pig in a blanket is an essential part of the Christmas household, with 423 million expected to be consumed on Christmas Day alone.

One in six say pigs in blankets are the first thing they look for when tucking into Christmas dinner, and almost a third (29%) prefer pigs in blankets to baking potatoes.

In fact, 38% of Brits said they would choose the pork snack over traditional turkey, while 19% stated they would have it over something else.

One in ten will have their first pig in blankets at 10am, while 6% have already spotted one for breakfast at 8am.

Nearly half (44%) even claimed they prefer them to chocolate, and 34% said the best way to eat them themselves is straight from the oven.
