Amanda Holden reveals secret behind Simon Cowell's changing appearance after BGT judge, 64, forced to deny facelift rumors

Simon Cowell has long baffled fans with his changing appearance and was even forced to deny he had had a facelift after months of speculation.

Now Amanda Holden – who sits on the jury with Simon on Britain's Got Talent – ​​has revealed the secret behind the ever-changing look.

The presenter, 52, spoke to Sofia Vergara about their mutual friend on Heart Breakfast on Thursday when she revealed how Simon, 64, relies on props and deception to alter his appearance on camera.

Amanda confessed: 'I sit closer to Simon because he has special lighting.

'I look ten years younger. If you think it's because I love Simon, that's not the case. It's because he has better lighting.'

Sofia, 51, was quick to back up her claims as she revealed Simon will also receive special lighting while filming America's Got Talent.

Amanda started, “Simon is great, when you sit next to him I play games, we play doodle games, we play hangman, do you play games with him to keep him busy?

'Because he gets bored quickly in the parts where we wait for other talent to come on stage.'

Sofia replied, “No, usually we argue… with him and me… We don't have time to play, I have no idea what show you're doing. There is no playing.

“We're either fighting, 'Why do you have better lighting than me?' “Why do they bring your drink faster than mine?” I'm just making things difficult for him.'

Last year Simon proved he doesn't mind making fun at his own expense after speaking out about his changing face on Britain's Got Talent.

During one of the talent show's live shows, he set tongues wagging and made a cheeky comment across his face.

The surprise move came after one hopeful, Tom Crosbie, impressed the judges by creating Bruno Tonioli's face from Rubik's Cubes.

As the end result was shown to the panel, Amanda took the chance to joke about Bruno, 67, saying: 'Well, he's got the orange [face] right!'

“How the hell do you do that?” asked a completely bewildered Simon, as the artist replied: “Practice… it turns out you have a very difficult face to make from Rubik's Cubes.”

At that point, Simon joked, “I'll change my face… again.”

“So when I hear about this, it honestly makes me laugh.”
