Animal BOC Day 7 (Early Estimates): Ranbir’s Biggie beats Kabir Singh to become the highest-grossing A-rated Bollywood film

Update of the animal box office record: Animal is only growing at the Box Office. Even on weekdays, it outperformed most festive Bollywood releases. And all this despite the criticism the country has received for blatantly promoting misogyny and violence. The Ranbir Kapoor The starrer revenge drama has completed a week’s run at the domestic Box Office and has successfully surpassed the benchmark of Rs 300 crore nett. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, it has now set a new record to its name.
Interestingly enough, this new record was previously included Kabir Singh which was considered equally toxic and sexist, also directed by Vanga. After seven days at the box office, Animal stands at around Rs 330 crore nett in India, an impressive figure for a non-holiday release. The film, also stars Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Tripti Dimri among others, collected in the range of Rs 16-18 crore on Thursday, according to initial estimates published on the trading website bag.

- Thursday: Rs 16.42 crore (early estimates)
- Total: Rs 329.77 crore
Kabir Singha Box Office hit, was released in the year 2019 and ended its life at Rs 278.80 crore nett in India. Animal has long crossed this number and will enter the Rs 500 crore club by the end of this weekend. Ranbir’s revenge drama will be only the fourth film after that Jawan, Pathan And Gadar 2 to enter the prestigious club in the domestic market. Animal has even surpassed at the worldwide Box Office Kabir Singh, the highest-grossing A-rated Indian film ever. The Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer grossed Rs 377 crore worldwide in its total run and Animal it took just four days to exceed this number. It now grosses around Rs 527 crore at the worldwide Box Office. The film is expected to enter the incredible Rs 1000 crore club soon.
