Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater hold hands as they fly into New York together – as singer goes No. 1 with a song that references their controversial relationship

Ariana Grande and her boyfriend Ethan Slater were spotted holding hands as they landed together in New York City on Sunday.

In photos obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, the couple wore matching black outfits as they walked through JFK Airport together, accompanied by Ariana's faithful dog Toulouse.

Ariana, 30, had her hands full with a pink Toulouse belt and a sleek tote bag slung over her shoulder, while her boyfriend, 31, carried a pink shopping bag.

She completed the look with a hat promoting the movie where she met Ethan, Wicked.

The singer – who recently announced her upcoming album Eternal Sunshine – kept the rest of her look casual and effortless, with a gray crew neck, sweatpants and fur-accented shoes.

Her friend looked similar: the Broadway star wore a white T-shirt, sweatpants and Nike sneakers. His belongings were in a rough brown bag thrown over his back.

The couple appeared to still be holding hands as they took the escalator.

They then waited outside the airport, where Ariana was greeted with a bouquet of sunflowers and purple flowers.

The performance comes one day before Ariana's latest song, Yes, And?, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

The new song was released on January 12 and appears to address the hate she received over her romance with Ethan.

Repeatedly asking: 'Yes, and?' she encourages listeners to think about why they feel compelled to comment on her life.

“Your business is your own, and mine is mine,” the pop princess also moans, before adding, “Why do you care so much whose dick I ride?”

In another line, she sings, “Now I'm so done caring about what you think, no, I won't hide under your own projections or change my most authentic life.”

Ariana and Ethan met in December 2022 on the British set of the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Wicked, in which Ariana plays Glinda – the good witch – alongside Ethan as munchkin Boq.

In the '80s-inspired tune Yes, And? Ariana also appears to be clapping back at fans' “concerns” about her changing appearance, which she also addressed in an April TikTok.

“My face is, I don't need a disguise,” she sings in Yes, And?. “Don't comment on my body, don't answer.”

Meanwhile, Ariana and Ethan's Wicked is expected to hit theaters in November 2024.
