IMAGES of an incredible Asda bargain emerged online – but people thought it was just one store's mistake.

However, people soon started visiting their local shops and discovered that the price had been reduced to £1 across the country.

Online shoppers have already missed out on the deal, but PlayStation fans have still been able to find the remaining copies at their local store.

Immortals of Aveum is a first-person shooter that launched last year on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

It tried to mix up the genre by offering a mix of different magic spells instead of weapons.

The blurb reads: “Immortals of Aveum is a single-player, first-person magic shooter that tells the story of Jak as he joins an elite order of battle mages to save a world on the brink of destruction.

“With legions of soldiers on both sides of the Everwar, he must unravel the mysteries of Aveum's troubled past if there is any hope of saving its future.

“Master three magical powers and unleash spells with deadly abilities in a game that defies FPS conventions.”

At launch, Immortals of Aveum sold for £49.99, so this offer is one of the best deals of all time.

The assumption is that the deal will only continue as long as copies are available, so once Immortals sells out the deal is gone for good.

It is likely that this deal comes about as supermarkets have scaled back physical in-store video game sales.

Research shows that up to 95% of video games are now purchased digitally, meaning the market for physical games is much smaller.

They are also small but expensive items and are more likely to be stolen from stores.
