Guwahati: Days after a grenade blast in Sivasagar district, an explosion was heard near the Lichubari military camp in Assam’s Jorhat on Thursday, reports said. The main gate of the Lichubari military camp was closed after the explosion. No casualties have been reported so far.

According to a report by India Today, the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) claimed responsibility for the explosion. Notably, the separatist militant group has been linked to previous incidents of violence in the region.
