Shocking video footage has emerged showing a thief getting his comeuppance for attempting to steal an ATV.
A viral clip making the rounds on social media captured the surprising moment when the unidentified individual, reportedly involved in an ATV theft, meets an abrupt end when he crashes directly into a tree just seconds later.
The footage shows the man driving out of a parking lot in the blue ATV, shortly afterwards crashing head-on into a tree at full speed.

It is currently unclear when and where the incident took place and whether the suspect sustained any injuries.
Earlier this week, a New Jersey woman died Sunday after an ATV accident in Adams County.
Evelyn Pineda Guadron, 22, of Hightstown, New Jersey, was injured after the ATV accident and succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash.
Guadron reportedly lost control of the Yamaha all-terrain vehicle she was riding in when it went off-road, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
