Baby Daddy star Derek Theler has become a father in real life.

The actor, 37, shared the arrival of his son, Denali McKean, in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Tuesday.

Denali is the actor's first child with actress wife Lisa Marie Summerscales, whom he married in 2022.

Derek shared a photo of himself holding his son, beaming with pride. “Happy to announce that our baby boy Denali McKean has reached the world,” he wrote in the caption.”

The proud dad also shared a few close-ups of his newborn baby, swaddled in a cute blue blanket.

His 605,000 followers and friends were quick to congratulate him, with comedian Joel Mchale writing: 'Touchdown!!!!'

His TV mom from Baby Daddy, Melissa Peterman, wrote, “Congratulations @derektheler and @lsummerscales! Welcome to the world beautiful Denali!!!! I can not wait to meet you! I love you already and I will always let you buy three things at the store!'

'Wow! What a beautiful child. You're going to be a great father. Congratulations!' another added.

Derek announced Lisa's pregnancy in October and shared a photo of it during a walk, with his hand on her belly.

“Daddy mode is coming January 2024 ❤️ #babydaddy #itsaboy.”

He recently spoke about getting into shape during the actors' strike so he could avoid having a “dad bod.”

The couple started dating in May 2016. Theler announced their engagement in July 2022

“I have a baby on the way, so I want to make sure the daddy body doesn't start too early,” he said in an interview with KTL 5 last month.

Lisa was also present at the interview, where she showed off her baby bump in a chic olive-colored dress.

When asked if they were scared or excited, he replied: “It's our first, so a lot of fear, a lot of excitement. We are as prepared as possible for this moment. Read the books, take the classes, what happens next will happen.”

The Alaska native and the Ritual star started dating in May 2016. Theler announced their engagement in July 2022.

Derek and Lisa married in September that same year.
