BARCELONA will join the race to sign Amadou Onana – but only if Everton drop their £51m asking price.
Like the cash-strapped Toffees, Barcelona have their own financial problems and, as things stand, cannot afford to go beyond £34 million.
But the Spanish giants are keeping a close eye on the midfielder's situation.
Everton hope to organize an auction for Onana this summer.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all among the clubs to have him on their shortlist.
The 22-year-old Belgium international arrived at Goodison Park from Lille for £33.5 million after rejecting West Ham in August 2022.
He immediately became an important player under Frank Lampard.
And he remains an integral part of the Toffees team under Sean Dyche as they battle against relegation.
Onana is under contract with Everton until mid-2027, after signing a five-year contract upon his arrival.
Man United boss Erik ten Hag is also still keen to revive interest in Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong.

The Old Trafford club have been linked with a £120million double blow for De Jong and Nou Camp team-mate Ronald Araujo.
If Barcelona were to receive a high fee for one or both players, it would give them a better chance to compete for Onana without risking breaking FFP rules.
