A Boston man is devastated after his pride and joy, a beautiful black 1990s Buick Grand Nationalwas stolen and used in a demolition derby as the thief rampaged through the streets of Boston, crashing between 15 and 20 parked cars.

The car’s owner, Dennis Harrington, had only just taken the car out of the shop after having some body work done and trying it out on a race track.

Harrington was at work when a co-worker told him he had seen a car “just like his.”

‘Someone came up to me and said, “Oh, a car like yours just drove by.” I said that is my car!” There is no other car like it in America. This thing is one of a kind,” Harrington said Boston 25.

The muscle car was stolen from downtown Boston and driven six miles south to the suburb of Dorchester, where the thief tore a path of destruction Monday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. when he crashed into parked vehicles.

The damage ranged from just a few scratches to broken headlights and broken bumpers.

The driver struck vehicles parked along Dicks, Center and Parkman streets. Neighbors say they heard a series of loud bangs.

“There was a car that crashed into a few other cars in the area and then backed up and went down the side street and hit a few other cars,” said local resident Damal Ray.

“The car crashed into a few other cars in the area and then it backed into the side street and hit a few other cars,” said local resident Damal Ray, pictured.

Surveillance footage shows the Buick crashing into more than a dozen cars before the vehicle was eventually abandoned in Dorchester.

Neighbors reported hearing the series of crashes and described how the car collided with several others before the driver abandoned it and fled the scene when he could not continue.

The thief caused significant damage, upsetting several residents.

The owners of the damaged cars and the stolen Buick are now in contact with their respective insurance companies to have their vehicles repaired.

Meanwhile, Boston police say the car thief is still at large.
