Beauty and the Geek star Jordan Ray Finlayson enters rehab clinic ahead of sentencing for drug charges

A disgraced former reality TV personality is being treated at a residential rehabilitation center while she awaits sentencing for drug driving and fraud.

Jordan Ray Finlayson was due to be sentenced at Sydney Downing Center Local Court on Friday after pleading guilty to driving a vehicle with drugs in her system and four charges of using a false document to influence the discharge of public duties.

But her lawyer Matthew Wade told the court the 32-year-old could not attend court because she was in a rehabilitation center.

He asked the court to postpone the sentencing until next month, which was granted by Deputy Chief Magistrate Theo Tsavdaridis.

Finlayson took part in reality TV show Beauty and the Geek in 2011 before turning to drugs and racking up convictions for supplying and possessing drugs.

In court documents, police claim she has a “lengthy” criminal record as a result of “her involvement in drug use.”

Last year, the former NRL cheerleader was arrested for drug driving and released on bail under strict conditions, requiring her to report to police three times a week.

Yet police discovered that she had forged four medical certificates to avoid her reporting obligations.

The documents were accepted as legitimate until police gained access to her phone and discovered different font sizes on the fabricated documents.

Doctors and staff named in the documents confirmed they had only provided certificates for some of Finlayson’s absences.

Months later, the model was arrested by police for a second time while driving under the influence of drugs.

Just days after Christmas, the agreed facts show she was driving a black Honda Accord through Mascot, in Sydney’s south, when police signaled her to stop for a random breath test.

Finlayson continued driving and tried to avoid the roadside test, but police managed to stop her.

She returned a positive result for methamphetamine.

The 32-year-old committed all five offenses while on parole for meth possession in May 2023, according to court documents.

She was arrested by police after she passed out in the back of an Uber and the driver was unable to wake her.

Officers found an ice pipe and a bottle of party drug known as GHB.

When the former reality TV personality returns to court, the magistrate will have to decide whether to resentence her for violating her parole on the drug charge.
