Whittaker, 26, was happy to show off as he dominated the fight.

The Olympian jumped around on one leg, swaying back and forth and exaggerating many of his body movements.

After a point, the Brit turned around on one leg, after which he was disallowed by the referee.

However, the crowd at Wembley's Ovo Arena loved his stunts as they booed the referee.

Viewers at home were divided in their opinions of his in-ring antics as they took to social media.

One fan wrote: “Moves are fine when it's fluid but he seems to be overdoing it.”

A second wrote: “Embarrassing to see. Skipping around the ring against a garbage man.”

A third commented: “Disgraceful showboating. You get in the ring to box. No dancing.”

Another said: “Ben Whittaker is a bit different. Good character and can box.”

Speaking about his showboating after the win, Whittaker admitted it should not be taken as “disrespect”.

He told Sky Sports: “Do you know what it is? I can dance, I can swing, but I destroyed it in no time.

“I was going through the motions, looked at my dad and he was a little annoyed, so I said 'Okay, let me show you what I can do' and I got the job done.

'Don't consider showing disrespectful, it's just my art.

“People may compare me to Prince Naseem, but I'm Ben Whittaker.”
