With two spots left for the semi-finals, the match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka would be crucial as it could decide Pakistan’s fate in the competition. If New Zealand win, Pakistan will be out of the picture and if that doesn’t happen, the Babar Azam-led team would have to beat England to qualify. The weather forecast shows a 70 percent chance of rain on November 9. According to the BBC, an 85 percent chance of rain has been predicted early on in the match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka. Heavy showers are possible between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. The temperature would be around 25-30 degrees Celsius.

When the tournament started, New Zealand looked unstoppable as they won four out of four to kick off their campaign. Then they lost to India and their bad losing streak has continued since then. On paper, NZ look better than Sri Lanka and would therefore start as big favorites in Bengaluru on Thursday.
