Richard seemed to forget the golden rule of hosting daytime television as he swore not just once, but twice while hosting Good Morning Britain in 2019.

The veteran broadcaster, 62, left viewers in hysterics and had them comparing him to Alan Partidge when he made a series of blunders while replacing regular presenter Piers Morgan before quitting the show.

Richard first turned the sky blue at 7.30am when he told London Mayer Sadiq Khan there was 'no point hanging around' during a discussion about air pollution.

An hour later, the former This Morning host struck again when he said “s**t” during an interview with The Voice judge Olly Murs and winning contestant Molly Hocking.

Asking Molly about her win, Richard mused: 'How does it feel when you think 'oh s**t', I won it!'

Richard apologized at the end of the conversation: 'Apparently I said the word that starts with an s and starts with a t. I didn't think so, but if I did, I apologize.”

'Why are you crying?'

Moving on to the next item he said: 'Anyway, after the break the biggest dog in Britain. And he's really big. Do not miss it!'

Speaking about a teacher who took out a new mortgage on her house to save her dog's life, he asked viewers: 'What price do you put on caring for your pet? Is there a point where you just say, “Too expensive, the dog has to die?”

And while interviewing some Primordial Dwarves, he said, “Do you think people are patronizing you? That means they talk down to you.'

During a conversation with some squatters, he once said: 'What is your favorite supermarket store? I personally like Waitrose.'

Chats with celebrities…

once told Bill Clinton, “I know what it's like to be wronged by the press. I was once accused of shoplifting. But unlike you, I knew I was innocent.”

While interviewing actress Keira Knightly, he jokingly asked the show's producers, “Can we please get some makeup?” Make Keira look like a crack…she'd make a good crack!'

He once told Faye Tozer of Steps and fellow singer Russell Watson: “I always thought your music was a bit c**p, but this is pretty good.”

Richard introduced former footballer Paul Gascoigne, who has battled well-documented alcohol problems, at a very awkward moment: 'He's suffering for us. He bears our pain in the most public way possible.

“He meets a timeless human need, a need that dates back long before the time of Christ. Perhaps this has always been Paul Gascoigne's fate.'

He once said to entertainer and mentalist Derren Brown, “Can we have kerosene and a rope? We'll burn you at the end of the show.'

And the broadcaster hasn't been shy when it comes to speaking out about moments from their private lives.

He once told ITV viewers: 'When Judy and I were trying to get pregnant I dipped my balls in ice-cold water before having intercourse.'

Another time he said, “Then Judy got pregnant again, it was an accident. Sorry Chloe, but that was you. And you know it.'

And after Judy once revealed her past dreams of becoming a doctor, he joked, “No, you would have killed everyone in the end.”

He also once asked an actor playing a bisexual, “Would you rather have sex with me or with Judy?”

Richard left viewers in stitches when he made his debut on The Circle in 2019.

The TV presenter lived up to his comparisons as the 'real Alan Partridge' when he entered his flat with a guitar in hand, before stumbling over a typewriter and tripping live on air.

Before entering the flat, Richard said: 'I'm a mischief-maker. I'm here to shake things up.'

Richard admired his flat, where he was given a keyboard, a miniature snooker table and a typewriter so he could write his new novel.

As he walked around the sofa talking to himself, he tripped, causing presenter Emma Willis to stifle a laugh as the camera panned back to her in the studio.
