Two men have been charged with murder after a body was found in an abandoned quarry.

Mr Gray, from Morayfield, was reported missing on June 4 and was last seen alive at an address in Rupert Crescent on May 28.

Queensland Police will allege a 19-year-old and a 22-year-old man lured Mr Gray to a property in the Glass House Mountains before stabbing him to death.

Both have been charged with murder and misconduct with a corpse by interfering with it and will appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Police said a third man was also arrested but released without charge.

Police believe the two men accused in the death were known to Mr Gray.

Mr. Gray’s family told the newspaper Courier mail earlier this week his disappearance was said to be ‘out of character’.

“(Malahki) has always kept in touch with his family… he had a disability pension and was under the care of the NDIS,” Mr Gray’s father said.

He said a missing person report was filed by Mr Gray’s NDIS caregiver on June 4 and a second report was filed by the family on June 5.

Mr. Gray was also known as Malahki Davidson and Jai Gray. His family released a statement confirming his death.

“We would like to sincerely thank everyone who assisted in the search and support of our family over the past fortnight during the disappearance of Jai/Malahki,” they said.

“It is with great sadness that we inform you that it is no longer necessary to continue the search for Jai.

“We apologize to friends and family whom we were unable to reach directly given the volume of missing messages from Jai.

“Take this moment to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you.

‘Hug them tighter, listen a little longer, be present, say ‘I love you’, take countless photos together and cherish every second.

“We kindly ask for privacy during this incredibly difficult time as we grieve and attempt to heal.”
