And he did so until his retirement in 2022, with the support of adoring British and Pakistani fans.

Now Khan is helping to produce the next generation of stars, with Azim and Sheeraz the latest pair of multicultural prospects.

And Azim has promised that both will deliver on their huge bill and fill the boots left vacant by Khan.

He told SunSport: “Myself and Hamzah Sheeraz are the next wave of British-Pakistanis to go on and become world champions.

“Amir Khan has created the blueprint and it is now up to us to follow it. Believe me when I say we are the real deal.”

21-year-old Azim is considered one of the most exciting talents on the British circuit, having already won a European light-welterweight title at 11-0.

And both he and 7-0 older brother Hassan, 23, idolize mentor Khan.

Sheeraz, 24, on the other hand, has had his run-ins with the English icon, but the pair have since patched things up.
