A BOY of ten will take his sheepdog to Crufts this weekend.

Harry Fitches qualified along with Stanley after winning the first dog show they entered.

The boy trained the Australian Shepherd after school for their big moment in front of thousands of people Birmingham‘s NEC.

Harry, from Sway, Hantswhich Stanley received from his breeder nan two years ago, said: “I’m so excited.

“It’s great that Stanley and I will be there Crufts.

“I’m looking forward to parading around the ring with him.”

His mother Allison said everyone was stunned when Stanley won Best of Breed in Bournemouth Championship Dog show last year.

“We warned him not to get too excited and it was highly unlikely he would win and make it Crufts.”

“We were so shocked when the judges awarded him first place – and I think most people there were too.”

Allison said Harry’s training with Stanley “went well,” but said “Stanley is still not very good at standing still.”

She added: “I think Harry will be a bit shocked when he gets to Crufts and realizes how big it is.”

“We are all a bit worried, but Harry is confident and very excited about his participation.”
