The former Ireland captain is married to Amy Huberman, who has an impressive list of TV credits – including The Clinic and Finding Joy – to her name.

Who is Amy Huberman, wife of Brian O'Driscoll?

Amy Huberman is an actress from Dublin, Ireland.

She was born on March 28, 1979 to parents Harold and Sandra.

She has a brother, Mark Huberman, who is also an actor.

Huberman studied at University College Dublin and originally planned to become a social worker before discovering a love for drama.

She married Brian O'Driscoll in July 2010, with the couple hosting their wedding at Lough Rynn Castle in County Leitrim, Ireland.

The couple had started dating five years before they tied the knot, and were first set up by a mutual friend after O'Driscoll saw Huberman during a TV interview and wanted to meet her.

In 2011, O'Driscoll joked on Sky Sports News that he was “technically stalking” his current wife when he got a boyfriend to orchestrate their first meeting.

The pair were once known as “Ireland's Posh and Becks”, but the comparison to David and Victoria Beckham hasn't been made for some time.

Huberman himself told it Irish Sunday Mirror in 2022: “I haven't seen that in a long time, maybe in the 1990s.”

The duo has welcomed three children together: a daughter and two sons.

Huberman and O'Driscoll had their first child, daughter Sadie, in 2013 and she was joined by younger brother Billy in 2015.

The couple then welcomed their third, Ted, at the end of 2020.

Despite her and her husband's success in their respective careers, it is their family – not their fame – that is their main focus.

“I go to school to pick up my children. I identify with each day,” Huberman told The Mirror in 2022.

She continued: “Listen, with Brian's success and (since) we're both in the public eye, [fame] is not something we focus on.

“It's just a side that is part of our work, it still surprises me.”

The O'Driscoll and Huberman family have a rescue dog named Phoebe and have given their beloved pooch the full name of Phoebe Mary Eithne Aine Marie Deirdre Michelle Audrey Gubnait.

Huberman is not only an actress, but also an accomplished writer.

Her debut novel, Hello Heartache, was published in July 2009 and her second, I Wished For You, was released in 2012.

Huberman's first children's book, The Day I Got Trapped in my Brain, was published in 2022.

In 2023, the star spoke about balancing her many career paths with family life, tellingly VIP magazine: “As with everyone, there is no answer, it can be a bit of a juggle.

“I'm grateful to be able to do something I really love and I appreciate those opportunities as well.”

What TV shows and movies has Amy Huberman been in?

Huberman has appeared in many films and TV shows since earning her first acting credit in the 2001 horror film Bad Karma.

After parts in titles such as A Film with Me in It and Satellites & Meteorites, Huberman landed the role of Daisy O'Callaghan in the Irish medical drama The Clinic.

She would play Daisy for over 60 episodes.

She also played Kate in Can't Cope, Won't Cope, Gemma in ITV's Butterfly and Tara Rafferty in Striking Out.

Since 2018, Huberman has written and starred in the comedy series Finding Joy.

She plays the titular character Joy in the series, which also features Aisling Bea and Paul Reid in the cast.

Huberman has played guest roles in many well-known series, including Derry Girl and Silent Witness.

In 2023, she played Orla in the Channel 5 crime drama Harry Wild Investigates.

Is Amy Huberman involved in other cases?

Huberman has launched several successful shoe collections with Bourbon Footwear over the years.

She first started designing at the Irish company in 2012, with collections including everything from high heels to boots and trainers.

Huberman's collections are known to sell out quickly, with fans desperate to get their hands on the stylish shoes.

From February 2024 the Bourbon Footwear website doesn't seem to be available, with just a message saying “ciao for now” on the homepage.

However, there are still some pairs of Huberman shoes for sale on websites like Millar's shoe store And McConnell shoes.
