Bribbaree house fire: Mother DIES after horrific burns to 90 per cent of her body – while her son faces murder charges

A woman has died after burning 90 percent of her body in a house fire allegedly started by her son.

Nerol Doble, 65, was injured in the fire on Bribbaree Road in Bribbaree, in NSW’s South West Slopes, at noon on Sunday.

Emergency services airlifted the woman to Royal North Shore Hospital before she died at 3am on Monday.

The woman was reportedly placed in a bathtub full of ice by a family member before paramedics arrived on the scene.

The 65-year-old was injured in the fire on Bribbaree Road in Bribbaree, in NSW's South West Slopes, at noon on Sunday.

Police launched a search for her son Shannon Doble, 42, after the fire.

Mr Doble reported to Parkes Police Station a short time later where he was hit with a series of offences.

Murder (DV), causing wounding/grievous bodily harm to a person with intent to murder (DV) were among the charges.

He was also charged with damage to property by fire/explosion over $15,000 (DV) and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV).

The 42-year-old was refused bail to appear at Parkes Local Court on Monday.

With the assistance of the State Crime Command, a crime scene was established to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
