BRIT Awards 2024: You can get the girl from Australia! Kylie Minogue proves she’s still really blue as she puts on a shoe during the ceremony
She spends most of her time in Britain, but Kylie Minogue proved she still calls Australia home at the 2024 Brit Awards on Saturday night.
The 55-year-old music icon, who won the BRITs’ Global Icon Award, stunned fans by taking part in the Australian ritual of drinking alcohol from a shoe at the awards ceremony in London.
Host Roman Kemp convinced Kylie to drink her signature rosé wine from her high heels during an interview with the pop star at her table, saying it would be “wrong” if the pair didn’t “go with Australian tradition.”
‘So will Kylie Minogue play booty with me at the Brits? If I ask for your shoe, can I do it?’ Kemp, asked.
Kylie seemed hesitant at first, asking the crowd, “Should I do this?” before Kemp held up a pair of black stilettos and filled them with alcohol. D

The All The Lovers hitmaker proved she’s a good sport as she clinked stilettos with the host and drank the entire shoe in one gulp.
Later in the evening, Kylie closed the show with an energetic medley of her most famous hits, with viewers rightly branding her a ‘legend’ after she last performed at the ceremony in 2008.
She looked sensational as she flaunted her age-defying figure in a skimpy white bodysuit with sheer panels.

Kylie arrived on stage in an oversized red coat before taking it off to show off her sexy ensemble which she wore with knee-high black boots.
She performed songs from her back catalog as the famous faces in the audience sang and danced along.
The night ended with Dua Lipa presenting Kylie with the Global Icon Award, leading to the Australian pop star’s final performance.

“Okay, I’m just going to sob with Raye, you did that!” said an emotional Kylie as she took the stage.
“You did that. British, thank you very much. “I really tried to think carefully about what to say tonight, but I knew I couldn’t plan anything and it would just be about the emotion.”
