No one was in the homes at the time, but passengers had to be freed from the wreckage.

The bus driver, a 44-year-old man and the 17-year-old boy were taken to Frankston Hospital – both with non-life-threatening injuries.

Another passenger suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics, Victoria Police Chief Constable Jody Clayton said.

The truck driver, a 32-year-old man, was unharmed and is assisting police in their investigation.

A Victoria SES spokesperson said they had been called to the scene due to “several suspected entrapments”.

They remain on site while they work to remove the bus.

Sharon, whose 17-year-old son was on the bus on his way to work, said the teen lost some of his teeth in the collision.

“The bus was traveling towards Dromana Parade towards Portsea and a lorry came out of a side road and T-leg rammed the bus and rammed the bus. The bus then drove into two houses,” she said 3AW.

Shocking crime scene photos show a corner of a house completely destroyed after the bus plowed into it.

A wooden fence was also blown apart with posts scattered around the yard.

Senior Constable Clayton said the impact of the collision between the bus and lorry caused the bus to crash through the fence of a house and cut off the roof.

It then plowed through a border fence into a second home, causing “major structural damage.”

Police will continue to investigate the incident.
