A three-month-old baby has died from serious injuries sustained in the same car crash that killed his mother.
Emergency services rushed to Caboolture River Rd near Tinney Rd in Upper Caboolture, in Brisbane’s north, about 2.30pm on Friday after reports a car had hit a tree.
The 33-year-old mother from Caboolture was pronounced dead at the scene and her son suffered serious injuries after being thrown from an approved child seat.
The three-month-old baby was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital, where he died on Sunday afternoon.
