A Canadian woman living in London has been criticized for saying British homes ‘don’t have central heating, dryers or garages’.

Lauren, passing by Lauren’s little libraryon TikTok typically shares book reviews with her 258,000 followers.

But her latest video has irritated many Brits for its ‘completely inaccurate’ version of life in Britain.

In the clip, Lauren describes a “list of things in her house in Britain that would put North Americans in a coma” and lists a dozen things she claims she doesn’t have, but are common in homes in Britain.

“The whole concept of a laundry room, you won’t find that here,” she said.

Lauren, who visits Lauren’s Little Library on TikTok, said homes in Britain don’t have dryers or cupboards

‘There is no dryer, that’s right, in this wet country you dry everything.

“Everything smells like mold,” she added.

Then she walked into her conservatory and moaned that there are “extra letters in the world that you can’t pronounce.”

She then said that the room “freezes in winter and boils in summer.”

Lauren went on to say that “white goods like refrigerators are all small and useless,” saying that her refrigerator is smaller than her at 6 feet.

She added that in British homes there is ‘no central heating, just radiators’, which baffles many commentators who said this is the same.

She added that there is no air conditioning and the windows have “no mesh” so cats and critters can just “marvel.”

Confusingly, she went on to explain that there are “no garages” and that they “only exist for the richest of the rich.”

“The front yards are being paved so that, if they’re lucky, one car can fit in,” Lauren incorrectly explains. “Most people park on the street.”

‘And a cellar? Not in this country,” she says.

“Each of our outlets has an on/off switch, so if you plug something in and don’t turn it on, guess what, your device won’t charge,” she adds.

“There are no sockets in the bathroom and no cupboards, show me one, they don’t exist,” she added.

“The front doors lock automatically when we close them,” she finished.

Hundreds of stunned Brits then commented on the video, confused by Lauren’s claims.

“Literally none of these things are right,” one person wrote.

“I don’t know where you are in the UK but I have 90 per cent of these things and so does everyone I know,” another added.

‘I have two tumble dryers… my fridge freezer is so high I need a ladder to get to it, and I have central heating. Garages are also normal, who cares?’ wrote one user.

‘This is a very inaccurate representation of Britain. I’ve had all these things before, it’s mostly a personal choice!’ said one.

“Laundry rooms are a thing, often called a utility room. We also have clothes dryers! And not all front doors close like yours!’ a fifth added.

‘Radiators are part of the central heating in your home. Automatic doors are rare (and old). We do have utility rooms (depending on the size of your house),” one person said.

‘I don’t understand what you meant by central heating versus radiator. Radiators are part of the central heating system we have in Britain…’ one person wondered.

‘Don’t people have dryers? I’m in Great Britain. and never met anyone who doesn’t have a dryer?’ said another.

‘British person living here with utility room (laundry room) with tumble dryer, central heating, garage, double fridge freezer and built-in wardrobe,’ said one.

“We definitely have tumble dryers. That’s your choice not to have one! Have one,” said another.
