Candice Warner has given an insight into what her husband David Warner’s career could look like after he announced his retirement from cricket.

The WAG praised David’s ‘resilience’ and said it was a pity that they were ‘not that sad’ that he was leaving the sport.

As for what David plans to do next, the 38-year-old said the couple’s family will be given priority and this will be “magic” for them.

“The next six months will actually not look that different from what we are used to,” she says The Daily Telegraph.

She explained that ‘David can take the girls to cricket, take the girls to football on Sundays’ and pick them up from school.

“All those things that some adults say they don’t want to do, but he never had a chance to do those things because he was always away playing,” Candice continued.

‘It may not seem like much, but when you are such a hands-on dad and want to be there for everything, it is difficult for David not to be able to be there for the girls.’

Candice says the couple’s daughter “absolutely loves when their dad is home,” which she knows is what David “looks forward to” the most.
