Carrie Bickmore makes a tidy profit as she sells her five-bedroom Byron Bay home for a whopping $4.3 million – almost a year after her split from partner Chris Walker

Carrie Bickmore has sold her stunning five-bedroom, three-bathroom Byron Bay property, almost a year after her split from partner Chris Walker.

The former Project host’s vacation home, which was recently used as an Airbnb rental, went under the hammer on Dec. 19 for $4.3 million.

The spacious 939 square meter property was put on the market last month with an asking price of $3.65 million, netting Bickmore a profit of $650,000.

Close to restaurants and a shopping center, the modern home features a wooden deck, entertainment room and in-ground swimming pool.

It also offers multiple living areas, a central kitchen that overlooks a heritage-style fireplace, as well as a home office that can be converted into a fifth bedroom.

In addition to the stylish interior, the large backyard and outdoor terrace are the perfect setting for outdoor gatherings.

A separate studio on site features a kitchenette, bathroom and outdoor shower and bath.

Interested buyers had until December 12 to register their interest if they wanted their own slice of coastal paradise, which became a reality for one eager buyer.

Bickmore and her ex-husband purchased the home in January 2018 for $3 million and added a pool deck and spa to the property, costing about $100,000.

In January this year it was announced that Bickmore had been separated from her partner of 11 years.

The TV and radio presenter confirmed their split in an Instagram post, saying they were now focusing on co-parenting their three children, Ollie, 16, Evie, eight, and Adelaide, five.

The news came just a month after Bickmore presented her final episode of Channel 10’s The Project, having stepped down to spend more evenings at home with her family.

“It is with immense sadness that Chris and I have decided to part ways,” she wrote at the time.

Although the news came as a shock to fans, Bickmore – who was pictured with her children on the beach in Byron Bay just weeks before the announcement – had hinted at her private issues in a farewell letter to The Project’s hair and make-up team after she quit the November show.

In a handwritten note to her glam team, the mother of three thanked them for helping her get through some of the most challenging times in her life.

Meanwhile, Bickmore has since sparked romance rumors with her radio co-host Tommy Little.

Fans begged the couple to confirm an alleged romance, especially after they enjoyed a trip to France together.

In June, they hosted their Hit FM radio show from the ‘City of Love’, leaving fans convinced they were in a romantic relationship.

‘Can you just become a couple already? The chemistry between you two is out of this world and you can hear it on the radio,” an Instagram user commented on a video of Tommy and Carrie exploring Paris.

While Bickmore and Walker have now been separated for 11 months, Little has reportedly been single since his split from girlfriend Natalie Kyriacou in 2021.

Little rushed to the mother of three’s side in January when she confirmed her split, leading insiders to speculate that their friendship could evolve into something more.
