Chandrababu Naidu: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief in three cases related to alleged irregularities in Inner Ring Road (IRR) alignment, liquor policy and sand mining cases.

The Supreme Court has ordered him to cooperate in the investigation of the case and not mention anything related to the case anywhere in public meetings and media platforms.

Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP chief, is the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the current Leader of the Opposition. In November last year, he was granted bail by the Supreme Court in the skill development scam case.

The TDP supremo was arrested by the state Crime Investigation Department (CID) on September 9 in connection with the skill development case and was lodged in Rajahmundry Central Jail from September 10 to October 31.

The skill development case revolves around the alleged misappropriation of funds from the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC). It is said to have caused a loss of over Rs 300 crore to the state exchequer, while Naidu has consistently maintained his innocence, attributing the cases against him as motivated by political revenge.
