Boss Horner congratulated driver Max Verstappen on his victory on Saturday.

The victory was secured despite the build-up to the race being dominated by one issue: the internal investigation into Horner surrounding claims of inappropriate behavior towards a female colleague.

In a post on Saturday evening, Horner thanked his “hardworking team” and their support.

He wrote: “What a weekend. The perfect start to the season.

“Many thanks to the hardworking team in Milton Keynes for all their work over the winter to produce another great and highly competitive car.

“To our stakeholders, illustrious partners and everyone here in Bahrain: thank you for your endless support and commitment to giving us the best possible start.”

Horner was pictured alone today walking into the paddock ahead of the race.

Geri Halliwell, 51, was later seen next to her husband despite the shock bomb leak.

The plethora of text messages sent anonymously to F1 bosses and media outlets confirmed Horner sent inappropriate messages behind the back of his wife Geri Halliwell, despite being cleared in a Red Bull investigation.

The team boss refused to comment on the leaked WhatsApp sexts.

Some of the nasty messages were reported, including a request for a “Santa PJ selfie”.

He also frequently joked about Spanx, telling the woman she looked “attractive.”

In another, Horner begins by asking if he can make a ‘confession’.

He then describes a trip on a private jet to Dubai, where he claims the woman “pulled him out of control.”

It was reported that the Red Bull chief – who has won 13 world titles since taking charge of the team in 2005 at the age of 31 – had been brought in for crisis talks with F1 bosses.

The tension was palpable in the paddock, with Red Bull team members avoiding the simmering scandal apart from the odd whisper.
