‘We, his friends and family are extremely concerned for his safety and are appealing to anyone who has seen him in the last 48 hours to contact Glasgow Police.’

Posting a clip of his character tending to the unconscious Eileen Grimshaw, he wrote on X: ‘I just told her I signed a new contract and this is what happens! I thought she would be happy!

“That’s George keeping Eyelash on its toes at least until July 2024, and I couldn’t be happier.”
