Coronation Street star Sair Khan has announced she is pregnant with her first child.
The actress, 35, who plays Alya Nazir in the ITV soap, made the cheerful announcement on Wednesday as she shared pictures of her growing bump.
The soap star looked radiant in the photos as she cradled her bump as she posed next to her boyfriend Nathan Chilton.
Alongside the photos, she wrote: ‘Hello… It’s been a while since I posted here, which has been a real mix of emotions.
“With everything going on in the world, it didn’t feel like the right time to share this, but we also know it’s okay to have hope and pray for peace while acknowledging that we feel blessed and grateful .’

Sair discussed Nathan’s health issues in the post, noting that he had chondroblastoma surgery on his pelvis in 2022, a procedure to remove a tumor.
She said: “Last year was a challenging time for both of us with Nathan’s chondroblastoma operation on his pelvis. It has been a long road to recovery and many obstacles lie ahead as we tackle the spread of the tumor to his lungs.
“Life can be difficult and there will always be challenges, but there are also important lessons to learn and gifts to cherish.
“We are so excited about Baby Chilton’s arrival in the spring of 2024.”
Sair, who has been in Coronation Street since 2014, was flooded with well wishes from her friends and co-stars.

Nathan was forced to undergo surgery to remove a benign bone tumor in his pelvis and documented his health struggles online.
Sair said she was “so proud” of her partner, writing: “Nathan has had a long journey to have his pelvic chondroblastoma removed.
“He documented the story on YouTube with the goal of helping others go through similar life changes.
‘It can be a very isolating experience. I’m so proud of him for being so open and vulnerable, hoping that others won’t feel so alone.”
Prior to her relationship with Nathan, Sair had a two-year romance with Emmerdale actor Simon Lennon who she split from in 2019.
