Courteney Cox wears purple bikini for a cold dip

Courteney Cox takes cold jumps in style.

Cox, 59, recorded her most recent session — as seen in an Instagram slideshow from Monday, Feb. 5 — in which she braced herself for the ice pool in a purple swimsuit. The bikini, which featured a triangle top and plunging bottoms, showed off Cox's toned physique. For the occasion, she wore her hair up and accessorized with small dangling earrings.

As she prepared to take the plunge, Cox asked the cameraman if she considered her ice bath socks “cheating” since the purpose of a cold plunge is to immerse your entire body in the fresh water to ease the pain, improve mood, reduce stress and prevent inflammation. “It's really fucking cold,” Cox shouted in the clip.

Cox isn't the only celebrity to hop on the cold plunge trend. Gwyneth Paltrow is a big believer in the practice and has one in her home spa.

Paltrow, 51, talked about the bath during a tour of her self-care oasis in a video shared to her lifestyle brand Goop's YouTube channel in August 2022.

“Welcome to our spa,” Paltrow said at the opening of the video before turning the camera to show a sleek and spacious blue-tiled room she shares with her husband Brad Falchuk. Paltrow teased that the 52-year-old TV writer is an “obsessive cold sucker.”

Elsewhere in the video, Paltrow gushed about her “favorite” Goop products, including the G.Tox Ultimate Dry Brush, which she uses before sweating in her sauna.

“It's a great exfoliator,” she said as she brushed her skin and wore a white bikini. “I always like to brush towards the heart to stimulate blood flow. It wakes you up a bit and it's tingling and invigorating. It's one of my favorite wellness rituals to do before I break a sweat or take a hot shower.”
